Scenario Based Training

In the past flying was taught by working on individual maneuvers with the student until they reached a level of proficiency then moving on to the next maneuver, not getting the entire flight experience until late in flight training.

Scenario based training is a structured script of real world experiences to meet flight training objectives in an operational environment. Basically you learn by doing real, mission oriented, flights similar to what you will be doing once you have your certificate.

Cirrus Training

Cirrus aircraft are some of the finest and safest aircraft available. To maximize your enjoyment and safety Cirrus has developed programs for transitioning to their aircraft and maintaining currency. To facilitate these programs they have a network of Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIPs) that are experienced CFII's that have been specially trained by the specialists at the Cirrus Aircraft headquarters.

I am proud to be part of the CSIP network and qualified in both Garmin Perspective and Avidyne avionics. I am look forward to helping you achieve your goals of flying, and hopefully owning, a Cirrus.

Transitioning Training

Want to start flying a Cirrus? There are transition programs for moving into your first Cirrus as well as programs to help you move between models and avionics.

  • Cirrus Transition Training
  • Advanced Transition Training
  • Avionics Differences Training
  • Airframe and Powerplant Differences Training

Maintaining Currency

The best way to maintain your Cirrus flying skills is to participate in recurrent training. The program is a six month recurrent check schedule which could permit a flight review and an IPC on an annual basis while accomplishing your recurrent training.

Aviation App Development

Aviation is more than a hobby, I also create applications aimed at the aviation market.

OurPlane

Have a small club or plane partnership and want an application for managing your aircraft? OurPlane is the answer, it handles scheduling, tracking squawks, calculating weight and balance and performance, managing the money, checkin/checkout, keeping an eye on pilot currency, etc.

Fun2FlyCFI

An application that supplies a portal for both instructors and students for monitoring the process of a student on his path to becoming a pilot or adding a rating. It shows what FARs have been completed, what skills need work and helping the student and instructor monitor progress on the way to the checkride.
